Diverse Sketch Maps of Fort McMurray

Description

Some eighty people from diverse walks of life sketched maps of "their" Fort McMurray (their lives, mapped onto the place as they envisioned it) as part of interviews conducted from 2007-2010. I'm hoping to create a website around the maps; in the interim, I have uploaded a small sample of the maps to the Unwrap ushahidi map as well. (The maps are also discussed in the chapter by Dorow and Dogu "The Spatial Distribution of Hope In and Beyond Fort McMurray" published in Davidson, Park and Shields 2010 "Ecologies of Affect" (Waterloo: Wilfred Laurier University Press))
